Puppies

Treasurehunt puppies are sold on Non-Breeding Contracts with a 2 year guarantee against genetic defects.  Prior to deciding to place a puppy, we will require that you complete and return our puppy application and provide 2 references.  We will review your application and then telephone you to discuss the matter further.  Decisions regarding placing puppies may be made at that time, or we may choose to wait until we meet you and you see the puppies.  When you are approved, we will require a $200.00 deposit to hold your reservation.  The balance of payment is due when you pick up your puppy.  The Sale Contract will also be signed at that time.  

If you have special circumstances requiring your dog to remain intact (i.e. for showing purposes), please advise us and we will discuss this matter with you further.  In order for a Non-Breeding Contract to be lifted or not placed at all, certain conditions must be met.  Again, we will discuss this with you privately if you have such a need. 

Prior to going home with their new families, Treasurehunt puppies will have had their dewclaws removed, been dewormed at least 3 times, will have been inoculated with their first set of shots and had a veterinarian check-up.  Additionally, we send our puppies home with 6 weeks of insurance from Pet Plan, food samples from ProPlan, various care information, and their care and veterinary records.

 We require updates at the 6, 12, 18, and 24 month intervals so we know how the pup is doing and to assist us in evaluating our breeding program.  Of course, Treasurehunt puppy buyers are always welcome to contact us outside of these time frames, if they have questions or need assistance with their pup.  The support we provide doesn’t end with the sale - we’re there for you long after the pup goes home with you, should you need us!
